The Once Mighty Is Fallen

N.B. Images may be large and will take a few moments to display on a dial connection.

Farewell to a large, but dangerous gum tree. It will be missed by a variety of local wildlife - possums, kookaburras, lorikeets, rosellas, currawongs, etc., as well as by us. The plan is to replace it with another tree that will be somewhat smaller than this one. We have been concerned about this tree for several years. On more than one occasion, large limbs have fallen, fortunately not on the house or anyone unfortunate enough to be in the way.
